About us

The medical care on Saba is supplied by the Saba Cares Foundation in The Bottom.


We offer 24/7 emergency service with our ER and ambulances. Our Clinic has a team of Island Physicians, Physician Assistants and Nurses to tend to our patients.


Next to our Island Physicians, visiting specialists and paramedics have monthly or bimonthly clinics at our medical center.

The Home Health team delivers nursing care to our community in their own homes.

Our admission ward allows us to admit patients who need hospitalized care and our facility is fitted with radiology and ultrasound.


We have our own laboratory where seventy percent of tests are completed on island, the others are sent out and completed off island at St. Maarten Laboratory Services.


‘The Home’, is a care institution for elderly, disabled or otherwise challenged people on the island of Saba.

Saba LIFE Center; a center dedicated to increasing quality of life and independence for seniors & disabled residents through recreation, education and socialization.

What does the position entail?

We are looking for a Manager Services who can ensure the continuity and quality of services provided by Saba Cares by managing the Hospitality and the Facility department, including IT, the medical transport, and the LIFE programs. By doing so ensuring that clients and patients receive an optimal level of quality care and that services support the care processes optimally.

Saba Cares is working towards building a new nursing home. The manager is also responsible for managing the project.


Your profile

Preferably applicant holds a master’s degree in hospitality or facility management or equivalent or the willingness to get that degree, complemented with wide relevant experience. Management training at post-HBO level, leadership skills and experience with coaching and management is necessary. Knowledge of policies, processes and procedures is required to ensure the continuity of work processes and to implement changes or improvements. Excellent communication skills, a strong customer service attitude, and a flexible work ethic. You have a good command (spoken and written) of the English language; you have good interpersonal skills and can work in a team setting as well as independently. You are a resident with a work permit and available to start as of June 2023.


What we offer

The initial appointment is for a period of one year with the intention to extend if the results are positive. You will work on a fulltime basis; 40hrs per week.


We offer a competitive benefit package based on our Collective Labour Agreement. You will partake in the PCN Dutch Caribbean Pension plan and collective professional liability coverage.


The salary is conformed to the salary implementation regulation of FWG Salarisstructuur Healthcare Caribisch Nederland BES and is placed in FWG scale 65. Monthly gross min $ 4647 – max $ 6791 based on experience.
